Held in summer light. Hand-blown borosilicate glass in warm amber - the colour of honey held to the sun - with a subtle ribbed silhouette that catches the light beautifully. Sold as a pair - a wide spouted chawan to whisk in, and a matching kusenaoshi to rest your chasen on between bowls. Each piece is mouth-blown by hand, so no two sets are identical. Lightweight, translucent, and made for daily use, not just display.
How to use
How to use
Pour warm water into your chawan, the matcha bowl, to gently warm it before your ritual. Add sifted matcha and warm water, then whisk until smooth and frothy. Once done, place your whisk on the kuse naoshi, the whisk stand, to help it dry and hold its shape.
Care
Care
Hand wash the glass chawan gently with mild soap and water. Avoid harsh scrubbing or sudden temperature changes. Rinse the kuse naoshi after use and dry with a soft cloth before storing.
