Meet ube - matcha's quieter, purple-hued cousin.
Grown as a heirloom crop in Bohol, Philippines, this isn't the neon-bright ube you've seen in bakery windows. It's slow-dried, stone-ground, and whisked the same unhurried way we treat everything at TheToki Room - no shortcuts, no artificial colour, just the deep, natural violet that heirloom ube gives on its own.
Earthy, lightly sweet, faintly vanilla-like - it whisks into a silky, frothy purple that's as calming to make as it is to drink. One tin, one ritual, zero rush.

Pour in a splash of hot (not boiling) water.
Whisk in a zig-zag motion with a bamboo chasen until smooth and frothy.
Top with hot or iced milk of your choice.
